THE BEST EVER GREEK SALAD 
(HORIATIKI)


Oh yes, the best ever. From the Greek mother of my son's friend. So good, you wish to eat it every single day! I do not count how many times I realized it in London or in the South of France. Ouzo (or Pastis) is obviously optional but it gives a "je ne sais quoi" very sunny indeed...
As usual, the quality of your product will make a huuuuge difference! Enjoy...

A quick glance in your kitchen…

In your fridge
Tomatoes
Cucumber
Aged-barrel feta
Sweet pointed pepper
Capers


In your cupboard 
Red onion
Olive oil
Oregano
Ouzo
Kalamata black olives 


THE BEST EVER GREEK SALAD 
Serves 4



400g 14,10 oz of tomatoes quartered
400g 14,10 oz of little cucumber sliced
1 sweet pointed pepper sliced
1 red onion finely chopped
Around 20 stoned Kalamata black olives
150g 5,29 oz of barrel-aged feta
1 generous tbsp of capers
1 tbsp of Ouzo (or Pastis)
6 tbsp of finest olive oil
Oregano 

In a large bowl, put the tomatoes with cucumber, pepper, red onion and olives.
Drizzle with the oil, Ouzo, oregano and capers.
Toss well and dispose the feta on top.
Set aside in the fridge before enjoying it!





La véritable salade grecque (Horiatiki)


Pour 4 personnes
400g de tomates coupées en quartier
400g de concombre coupés en rondelles
1 poivron rouge pointu coupé en morceaux
1 oignon rouge finement émincé
A peu près 20 olives noires Kalamata AVEC les noyaux
150g de feta vieillie en fut de chêne
1 généreuse CAS de câpres
1 généreuse CAS d’Ouzo
Origan 
6 CAS d’huile d’olive de très bonne qualité

Dans un joli saladier, mettre les tomates avec le concombre, oignon, poivron et olives.
Assaisonnez d’huile, d’Ouzo, d'origan et de câpres.
Bien mélanger le tout et disposez la feta sur le dessus.
Réservez au frigidaire avant de déguster.
