Hou la la, please find my roquefort and apple cake to celebrate this beautiful New Year 2018! This wonderful recipe could be a nice touch to any lunch, dinner or buffet. I think I may baked one every month : for my children, for my friends, for the friends of my friends... It is absolutely delicious... 
Roquefort is made in the Midi-Pyrénées (France), from raw sheep milk. The first mention of Roquefort appeared in Carolingian time around 1070 ! Charlemagne loved it and Diderot awarded it as the "king of cheeses". Enjoy!


Wine pairing : Bonnezeaux (Red) from The Loire Valley.

IN YOUR FRIDGE
Milk
Eggs
Roquefort
Apples
Gruyère

IN YOUR CUPBOARD
Self-rising flour
Olive oil

ROQUEFORT AND APPLE CAKE
Serves 6



3 eggs 
150g 5,2 oz of self-rising flour 
9cl 3fl oz of olive oil 
100g 3,5 oz of Gruyère cheese grated 
100g 3,5 oz of Roquefort cheese 
4 Cox apples (peeled and diced) 
5cl 1,6 oz of milk

Preheat the oven to 180° C.
Mix the eggs in a bowl with all the ingredients listed.
Butter and flour a cake tin and pour in the mixture.
Bake in the oven for 40 minutes. 





Cake pommes et roquefort


Pour 6 personnes
3 œufs
150g de farine
1/2 sachet de levure
100g de gruyère râpé
100g de roquefort
4 pommes pelées, épépinées et coupées en morceaux (Cox pour moi)
5cl de lait

Préchauffez votre four à  180° C.
Dans un saladier, mélangez tous les ingrédients listés.
Chemisez un moule à cake et déposez-y la préparation.
Enfournez pour 40 minutes.
