PARMESAN TILES ON STRAWBERRIES (Tuiles de Parmesan et fraises)

It sounds yummy, doesn't it? Ideal for a last minute aperitif or for a very original amuse-bouches, those supersonic treats are easy as pie to make. It just takes 2 in fact : strawberries and Parmesan cheese, yes, terribly easy... I advise you to double (or even triple) the recipe because they are gone incredibly rapidly : I wonder why ;)

A quick glance in your kitchen…

In your fridge
Freshly ground Parmesan cheese

In your cupboard

For 12 tiles

120g 4,2 oz of freshly ground Parmesan
12 strawberries cut at the base (not too small)
A little bit of thyme

Preheat your oven at 200° C.
On a baking tray, place 12 bunch of Parmesan and flatten them with the back of a spoon.
Bake for 5 minutes under supervision so that the tiles do not brown too much.
Meanwhile, make a vertical incision on every strawberry (to be able to put one tile on top).
Once cooked, allow the tiles to cool down before handling.
When it’s ready, insert delicately 1 tile in 1 strawberry and repeat the process for all the others.
Sprinkled with thyme and serve!

Tuiles de Parmesan et fraises

Pour 12 fraises
120g de parmesan fraichement râpé
12 jolies fraises coupées à la base
Un petit peu de thym

Préchauffez votre four à 200° C.
Sur une grille recouverte de papier sulfurisé, formez 12 petits tas de fromage.
Espacez-les suffisamment. Les aplatir avec le dos d’une cuillère.
Enfournez pour 5 minutes en surveillant la coloration.
Pendant ce temps, inciser verticalement les fraises.
Laissez refroidir les tuiles cuites.
Insérez délicatement les tuiles dans les fraises (1 par fraise).
Parsemez de thym et servez !
