PIEMONTESE SALAD (Salade piémontaise)

This salad with an Italian name is actually French! It is what we called a French bistrot salad! Easy, well balanced and terribly delicious, you will be enchanted by this recipe. Perfect for your Sunday evening meal, you may have to double the proportions as the children will appreciate it a lot! Try to buy a very good ham at the counter like the "Torchon" label. Forget about the packed ones if possible as they are not very good for this dish (and in general)...

Wine pairing : Coteaux du Lyonnais (Red) from the Rhone Valley.

A quick glance in your kitchen…

In your fridge
Finest ham
Hard boiled eggs
Cherry tomatoes

In your cupboard

Serves 4

10 cooked potatoes diced
400g 14,10 oz of finest ham (torchon if possible) cubed
4 hard-boiled eggs cubed
A dozen of cherry tomatoes cut in half
10 gherkins
2 tbsp of finest mayonnaise
2 tbsp of yogurt

In a bowl, combine the mayonnaise with the yogurt.
Add all the ingredients listed.
Mix thoroughly and it's ready!

Salade piémontaise 

Pour 4 personnes 
10 pommes de terre cuites
400g de jambon au torchon
4 œufs durs
Une douzaine de tomates cerise coupées en deux
10 cornichons 
2 CAS de yaourt
2 CAS de mayonnaise

Dans un bol, combinez la mayonnaise au yaourt.
Découpez tous les ingrédients listés en morceaux et les ajouter.
Mélangez bien et servir !
