MORBIER, SERRANO AND CHILI RELISH SANDWICH
(Sandwich au Morbier, Serrano et à la confiture de piment)

When I found some Morbier the other day at my supermarket, I was very happy. This cheese from the Jura area in France has more than 2 centuries!!! It has an AOC and is made exclusively from cow's milk (in a raw state though). It has a peculiar savor because of the blue line in its center. You should definitely try it, even on its own. Pain Poilâne is an institution for us, French people. It is a brown bread (Bio in advance of its time as it had been created in the 30's !!). If you taste this bread, be careful, you will never go back to the bread you used to appreciate before... I put some dried tomatoes and a little bit of chili relish (not the strong one of course, you want to taste the cheese still!!!). 


Wine pairing : Vin Pernand-Vergelesses (White) from Burgundy.

Gluten-free version
Use any gluten-free bread instead of the Poilâne.

In your fridge
Chili relish
Morbier cheese
Rocket salad
Serrano ham

In your cupboard
Pain Poîlane
Sundried tomatoes

MORBIER, SERRANO AND CHILI RELISH SANDWICH
Serves 1


1 slice of Pain Poîlane
1 tbsp of chili relish 
1 slice of Morbier cheese
2 or 3 sundried tomatoes 
1 handful of rocket salad.

Toast the slice of pain.
Spread the chili relish.
Add on top of it the Morbier and the tomatoes.
Finish with the rocket salad.



Sandwich au Morbier, Serrano et à la confiture de piment

Pour 1 personne


1 jolie tranche de Pain Poîlane

1 cs de confiture ou chutney  de piment (chili)

1 tranche de Morbier

2 ou 3 tomates séchées

De la salade roquette

Toastez le pain.
Puis tartinez-le de chutney.
Déposez dessus le Morbier et les tomates.
Terminez avec la salade.
Enjoy !
