CHICKEN WITH HONEY AND ONION JAM
(Poulet au miel et à la confiture d'oignons)

If you wish a "supersonic" recipe, this one is for you then. You need basically some chicken, a jar of onion jam, honey and.....that's it! I do serve it with rice and voila... This recipe has saved me a couple of times when I had to prepare something for friends who appeared "out of the blues" : yes, ad litteram... I always have with me a finest onion jam jar in my cupboard since. And because you only need to put this dish in the oven, it gives you plenty of times to talk to those friends you just bumped into... ;)


Wine pairing : Vin de pays du Comté Tolosan (White) from the South West.



CHICKEN WITH HONEY AND ONION JAM
A quick glance in your kitchen...

In your fridge
Chicken

In your cupboard
Honey
Vegetarian stock cube
Finest onion jam (or finest onion chutney)

CHICKEN WITH HONEY AND ONION JAM
Serves 4


4 chicken breasts diced
2 generous tablespoon of honey 

80g of hot water 
1 vegetarian stock cube 
5-6 generous tablespoon of finest onion jam

Preheat your oven at 180° C. 
In a pan, brown the chicken a little bit for a few minutes.
In a glass, combine the stock cube with the hot water.
Place the chicken in a baking dish.
In a bowl, mix the honey with the reconstituted broth and the onion jam.
Pour this mixture completely over the chicken.
Bake for 20-30 minutes.
Serve with rice.

Poulet au miel et à la confiture d'oignons


Pour 4 personnes 
4 escalopes de poulet découpées en lanières
2 généreuses CS de miel
80g d’eau chaude
1 bouillon cube végétal 
5-6 généreuses CS de confiture d’oignon


Préchauffez votre four à 180°C.

Faites revenir le poulet à la poêle pendant quelques minutes.
Dans un verre, délayer le bouillon cube avec l’eau chaude.
Disposez les lanières de poulet dans un plat à gratin.

Dans un bol, mélanger le miel, le bouillon reconstitué et la confiture d’oignon.

Recouvrir le poulet de cette préparation.
Enfournez pour 20-30 minutes.
Servir avec du riz.
