TUNA AND GRUYERE CAKE (Cake thon et Gruyère)

This cake is my signature cake. I cannot remember how many times I had to bake it for friends, school parties, etc... It's difficult to find easiest and tastiest... And when I am too tired to cook (or to find what to cook which is even worst I think), this cake is terribly handy. Well balanced, it will accompany any nice salad with a mustard dressing. In my opinion, you cannot find a better dish for your Sunday supper dilemma. Enjoy !

Wine pairing : Cassis (Rosé) from Provence.

A quick glance in your kitchen...

In your fridge

In your cupboard
Baking powder
Olive oil
Tuna chunks
White wine

Serves 6

3 eggs 
100g 3,5 oz of flour sifted
10cl 3,40 oz of milk 
10cl 3,40 oz of olive oil 
11g 1/2 oz of baking powder
300g 10,5 oz of tuna chunks in sunflower oil
100g 3,5 oz of grated gruyère 
5 cl 1,6 oz of white wine (optional)

Pre-heat your oven to 180°.
Whisk the eggs with the flour and baking powder.
Then add the milk, oil, tuna, gruyère and wine.
Combine well.
Butter and line a loaf tin with baking paper
Pour the mixture in.
Cook for 30-35 minutes.

Cake thon et Gruyère

Pour 6 personnes
3 œufs
100g de farine tamisée
10cl de lait
10cl d’huile d’olive
1 sachet de levure
300g de thon en boite
100g de gruyère râpé
10cl de vin blanc (optionnel)

Préchauffez votre four à 180° C.
Battre les œufs avec la farine et la levure.
Ajoutez le lait, l’huile d’olive, le thon, le gruyère et le vin.
Bien mélanger le tout.
Déposez cette préparation dans un moule à cake préalablement beurré et fariné.
Enfournez pour 30-35 minutes.
