SPRITZ CON APEROL

I was so happy to see that the sun was back here in London this week that I wanted to celebrate it with a sunny cocktail. So I thought straight away about a sunny country : Italy, a sunny Venice to be precise. Aperol is a lovely orange light aperitif created in this marvelous country by 2 brothers in 1919. It is the result of an infusion of plants and herbs : bitter orange, quinine, gentian, rhubarb... I have tasted this cocktail in Venice many years ago without thinking that it would be a hit in France then in England afterwards... You can find Aperol in any large supermarket. Drink aware!!!

This spritz con Aperol recipe is gluten-free!



SPRITZ CON APEROL
A quick glance in your kitchen...

IN YOUR FRIDGE
Sparkling water
Prosecco
Orange

IN YOUR CUPBOARD
Olive
Aperol

SPRITZ CON APEROL
Serves 1

2cl sparkling water 
5cl Prosecco 
3cl Aperol 
1 slice of orange 
1 olive

In a glass, pour over the Aperol followed by the Prosecco and the water.
Stir and add the olive and the slice of orange.

Spritz avec Aperol

Pour 1 personne
2cl d'eau gazeuse
5cl de Prosecco (ou de Crémant )
3cl d'Aperol
1 tranche d'orange
1 olive

Dans un joli verre, versez l'Aperol puis le Prosecco. 
Completez avec l'eau gazeuse.
Mélangez puis ajoutez l'orange et l'olive.
Boire avec modération ....
