ABONDANCE, CHICKEN AND CUMIN SANDWICH
 (Sandwich poulet, Abondance et cumin)

I have found some Abondance cheese in my supermarket the other day. What a pleasant surprise it was !!! Abondance is not something you can find easily to be honest. So it's a nice idea I think to share it with you through a sandwich with a charming French accent... Abondance is a semi-hard, fragrant, raw-milk cheese made in the Haute-Savoie department of France. It has an AOC. 
"Since the 15th century, the Abondance region has been well known for its cheese produced by monks from the Sainte Marie d'Abondance Monastery, located near the Swiss border.
Abondance cheese can be either artisanal or farm-made; it is now made exclusively in the area of Abondance in Chablais, Haute-Savoie". 



Wine pairing : Beaujolais (Red).






ABONDANCE, CHICKEN AND CUMIN SANDWICH
A quick glance in your kitchen...

In your fridge
Abondance cheese
Cherry tomatoes
Cress salad
Chicken breast

In your cupboard
Wholemeal granary bread
Red onions chutney
Cumin seeds

ABONDANCE, CHICKEN AND CUMIN SANDWICH
Serves 1
2 slices of wholemeal granary bread 
3 cherry tomatoes (cut in half) 
2 tbsp of caramelized red onions chutney 
1 slice of Abondance cheese 
1 tsp of cumin seed 
A few leaves of cress salad 
1 piece of cooked breast chicken

Spread the chutney on the bread.
Add the chicken, cheese, tomatoes and cress. 
Sprinkle with the cumin seed.
Add the second slice.
Cut in half. Enjoy !



Sandwich poulet, Abondance et cumin

Pour 1 personne
2 tranches de pain de mie aux graines
3 tomates cerise coupées en deux
2 cas de chutney aux oignons (ou un autre chutney)
1 tranche d'Abondance
1 cac de cumin
Quelques feuilles de cresson
1 tranche de blanc de poulet cuit

Etaler le chutney sur le pain.
Ajouter le poulet, l'Abondance, les tomates et le cresson.
Parsemer de cumin.
Fermer avec la seconde tranche de pain.
Coupez-le en deux.
Enjoy!
