MELON, LEMON AND OUZO SALAD 
(Salade de melon, citron et Ouzo)

Ah la la, believe me, the weather here in London is rainy-grey. For me, after 2 months of blue sky and sun shinning therapy I am devastated!!! So I will continue in my sun catcher recipes : better to have the sun somewhere in your mind than not at all! We will go to Greece in a nice way, with their yummy anised-flavoured aperitif which goes perfectly well with the melon (in my way of course...). Ouzo had been produced since the 19 century and is made with herbs and spices (aniseed, fennel, licorice, mint...). Use sparingly !





MELON, LEMON AND OUZO SALAD
A quick glance in your kitchen...

In your fridge
Cantaloupe melon
Ouzo
Lemon

In your cupboard
Black pepper

MELON, LEMON AND OUZO SALAD
Serves 3-4

1 Cantaloupe melon (cubed)
4 tbsp of Ouzo
The zest of 1 large lemon
Black pepper

In a large bowl, combine the melon with the lemon zest.
Add the Ouzo.
Set aside in the fridge.
Serve in verrines with a pinch of black pepper.


Salade de melon, citron et Ouzo
Pour 3-4 personnes

1 beau melon
4 cas d'Ouzo
Le zeste d'un gros citron
Poivre noir

Dans un saladier, prélever la chair du melon et la couper en moreaux.
Ajouter le zeste du citron ainsi que l'Ouzo.
Bien mélanger et laisser mariner au réfrigérateur .
Saupoudrez de poivre avant de servir en verrines.
